Interviews Update

Hey all. Just want to make a quick update. If you recall from my very first post that I created this blog in response of the lack of career related resources for environmental professionals. That at the time I was interviewing for three government level positions. Well as an update is that I was a finalist for all three positions and I ended up going 0 for 3 with offers. Over the past year, I was 0 for 5 with government job interviews.

I am not going to lie that I am deeply disappointed in the outcome. Based on feedback I received from the interviews, I did an outstanding job but basically lost to people with more experience. The interviewers are encouraging me to still apply if any future positions open up and I intend to do so.

In the meantime, my schedule is stabilizing so hopefully I can write more. Though I am not sure if I am the best person to offer career advice at this moment.
